Overview of Thanh Hoa Province
Thanh Hoa Province is located at the northernmost part of the North Central Coast and Central Coastal Region of Vietnam. It holds a strategically important position in terms of socio-economic development, national defense, and security for both the North Central Coast and Vietnam. The province acts as a key transit point connecting the northern and southern provinces of Vietnam.
Thanh Hoa ranks fifth nationwide in terms of area and is often referred to as a "miniature Vietnam" due to its comprehensive infrastructure, including the North-South Expressway, National Highway 1A, Ho Chi Minh Road, Coastal Road, Nghi Son Deep-Sea Port, Tho Xuan International Airport, and the Na Meo border gate with Laos. Additionally, it features large islands in Nghi Son and inland Ha Long Bay in Ben En. Thanh Hoa is currently in the early stages of industrial development, with abundant land resources for industrial growth and other projects at relatively affordable costs.
In recent years, the investment environment in Thanh Hoa has improved positively, creating favorable conditions for both domestic and foreign investors. Major domestic corporations such as Vingroup, FLC, Sungroup, BRG, and Euro Window, as well as international groups like WHA Group (Thailand) and Sumitomo (Japan), have invested in industrial infrastructure projects like Phu Quy Industrial Park, Giang Quang Thinh Industrial Park, and the Western Thanh Hoa City Industrial Park.
